Part 2 of Along Came a Bosnian

The next morning I was very excited and anxious about meeting Senadin on the beach. We had planned to meet up at the beach near the cruise Port to spend a couple hours togeather. While my mom and grandma had planned an excursion to a private island about 10 minutes away by boat. Before they left they decided to walk with me to the beach. Of course they laid down the law about how I was to use my head wisely and not to talk to strange men. I am basically a grandma in a teenage body so I would have no problems.

When we arrived we quickly became friends with one of the nice ladies who owned and worked at a smoothie stand on the beach. I remember how genuinely nice and caring she was. She even gave us a free smoothie. Soon it was time for my family to leave for their excursion. We said our goodbyes and I reassured them I would be fine with my new smoothie buddy. I spent my time waiting for Senadin chatting with some local ladies I met while at the smoothie stand. They were explaining to me how it was to live in the Bahamas and how they liked to spend their days with each other. Soon an hour had passed and I was beginning to worry that Senadin was not showing up. I decided to walk down the beach to make sure I was in the right place. That is when I saw him. He came running up to me. All my worries instantly flew away. I asked him why he was an hour late. His answer literally made my heart drop. He informed me earlier that morning he was fired. The cruise line bought him a plane ticket and he was to leave immediately. He reassured me that to him it was destiny. Destiny telling him that we are meant to be together. He then proceeds with that he had begged the taxi driver to stop at the beach so he could tell me in person. The driver was under contract and could get in serious trouble if the cruise line found out that he did not take Senadin straight to the airport. We share a couple more minutes together and then I had to do the hardest thing yet. I had to tell Senadin goodbye.

As soon as he left I was on the phone with my mom filling her in on what just happened. She immediately was on the way back to the beach I was at. Within 10 minutes she was back and we were going to the airport to find Senadin. When we arrived at the airport we found Senadin just about to go through security check. We spend the next 1 hour and 30 minutes together. Talking about everything. We decided this was worth it. Our feeling were strong and our heads were telling us to go for it. We decided when I got home I would be coming to Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would get a plane ticket to a place I had never really heard of till I met Senadin. Soon our time was up and he had to leave. As I watched Senadin go through security I thought about how my life is about to change completely, how I didn’t know when exactly I would see Senadin again, and how I need to buy a Bosnia for dummies book as soon as possible!
